Tiger Woods is gearing up for his first appearance in the TGL this year following his seventh back surgery in October. The golf legend, who hasn't ruled out a return to The Masters, will compete alongside Max Homa and Tom Kim.
The 15-time Major winner will face Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, and Sahith Theegala from Los Angeles Golf Club in the TGL final. Woods last took part in the 2024 PNC Championship, alongside his son Charlie, but they narrowly lost to Team Langer in a playoff. His recent PGA Tour appearance was at the 2024 Open Championship, where he didn't make the cut.
Since then, Woods has undergone achilles surgery and a lumbar disk replacement. Speaking about his recovery, Woods mentioned, "Sometimes I have good days; sometimes bad. Disk replacement isn't easy." He noted the toll previous procedures take on his body as it doesn't heal like it used to.
The TGL final's second match begins tonight at 12pm CET, with a potential third match following immediately.
