After a narrow miss at The Players Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick regrouped to claim victory at the Valspar Championship, delighting fans with a stunning performance on the final hole.

Last week, he watched another lift the trophy at TPC Sawgrass. However, his determination remained steadfast as he clinched the Valspar title with a crucial birdie.

Fitzpatrick's four rounds in the 60s set the stage for his finishing flourish. A decisive 4 meters putt on the 72nd hole sealed his win at 11-under-par.

"It’s vital to bounce back," said Fitzpatrick. The victory marked his first since the 2023 RBC Heritage and elevates him to world No. 6.

Reflecting on his ascent, Fitzpatrick credits coach Mark Blackburn for enhancing his approach play, instrumental in his recent success.

Fitzpatrick faced formidable rivals but stayed poised, delivering a clutch birdie at the 15th and wrapping up triumphantly under pressure.
