Nelly Korda shot a 7-under 65 in tougher afternoon conditions to reach 16-under and take a two-shot halfway lead at the Ford Championship, the lowest 36-hole score of her LPGA career. Despite a missed short birdie putt late in her round, Korda said she is playing solid, confident golf. Defending champion Hyo Joo Kim is second after a 69, with the pair set to play together again. Lydia Ko, who opened with a 60, shot 71 and sits three back alongside Jenny Bae and Minami Katsu. Amateur Asterisk Talley is among those at 10-under, while several big names missed the cut as low scoring continued in Phoenix.
