In front of packed galleries in Johannesburg, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm delivered a heavyweight showdown that went all the way to a playoff at LIV Golf South Africa. For the second consecutive week, DeChambeau came out on top.

From the wet rough in the playoff, the American produced a moment of brilliance, launching a fairway wood that settled just a few meters from the hole. When Rahm failed to get up-and-down from the bunker, DeChambeau calmly secured victory with a two-putt – his second straight win and fifth on the LIV circuit.

Emotion took over after the final putt dropped, as DeChambeau praised both the crowd and the event, calling it one of the best on tour.

Rahm, meanwhile, showed exceptional form with a 63 – the lowest round of the day – underlining his sharpness ahead of the major season.

In the team competition, Crushers GC claimed a narrow win over the all-South African side Southern Guards GC, who had looked set for victory in front of their home crowd.
